Hurricane Irma Forces Cancellation of St. Johns County RV Show

Mon Oct 2, 2017

Next month’s St. Johns County RV Show has been canceled so the St. Johns County Fairgrounds in Elkton, Florida can be used for hurricane-relief efforts.

The fourth annual show was to be hosted by the Northeast Florida chapter of the Florida RV Trade Association Oct. 12 to 15.

According to FRVTA Northeast Region President Ken Loyd, the state association received word from county officials late last week that the governor’s office had informed them that the venue would be needed to stage hurricane-relief activities in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma that struck the area earlier this month, according to a story by Jacksonville.com.
