RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

PRVCA Will Hold Coleman and Suburban Training Oct. 24-25

145279421656314.gifCamp Hill, Penn. – The Pennsylvania RV and Camping Association is hosting Coleman training on Oct. 24 and Suburban training on Oct. 25. Both will be held at Fame RV in Saegertown, Pennsylvania.

The Oct. 24 Coleman training will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch will be provided. Instructor Phil Gloshen will cover the sealed system of the refrigerant and control parts of air conditioners and how to trouble shoot the system.

Suburban’s Ronnie Ellison will be on-site Oct. 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to cover the sequence of operation on the Suburban water heaters and Suburban furnaces, with hands on training. Information on ranges will also be shared. Each technician will receive product service manuals and is asked to bring a few of his or her own tools (i.e. cordless screw gun, multi meter, etc.). Lunch will be provided.

Each training session qualifies for six recertification hours and is valued at $300, but is free to PRVCA members. Space is limited.
