RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Thor Industries Board of Directors Adopts Diversity Policy

145382602566676.pngELKHART, Ind. – Thor Industries, Inc. has announced that its Board of Directors, at its Oct. 11 meeting, formally approved a policy promoting diversity within the Board.

The policy requires all initial lists of candidates from which new director nominees are chosen by the Board's Nominating and Governance Committee to include qualified candidates with diversity of race, ethnicity and gender.

"Thor's Board of Directors recognizes the importance of diversity within its ranks,” Thor Chairman of the Board Peter Orthwein says. “Although the Board has followed this policy in prior director searches, the Board has formally adopted this policy to serve as an expression and reaffirmation of its dedication to drive that diversity."

The policy became effective immediately upon adoption.
