RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

PRVCA Hosting Norcold and Thetford Training Nov. 1

145279421656314.gifCamp Hill, Penn. – The Pennsylvania RV and Camping Association is hosting Norcold and Thetford training on Nov. 1 at the Days Inn in Oil City, Pennsylvania. The training will run from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and lunch will be provided.

Instructor Brent Grieves will cover Norcold’s cooling units including ventilation, burner and orifice, spark electrode, heaters, downdraft effects, diagnostics, removal, resealing and testing information. The seminar will also include details on the power board’s codes, flow charts and diagnostic screens as well as the icemaker diagnostics and water valve information.

Thetford sanitation products will also be reviewed including holding tank chemicals and seal lubricants. A service and parts breakdown will also be held on the following toilet models: Brava, Aria, Aqua Magic Style Lite and Tecma. A question and answer session will conclude the training.

The training session qualifies for six recertification hours and is valued at $300, but is free to PRVCA members. Space is limited, so register today.
