RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Travel Trailers Arrive in Florida Keys for Irma Aftermath Housing

150851232351698.jpgNine travel trailers for Florida Keys residents displaced by Hurricane Irma are now housing storm victims and more are on the way.

Four of the nine are in Key Largo and all are on individual sites, not grouped together, says Monroe County information officer Cammy Clark, according to a story by FL Keys News.

She says about another 120 combined are expected to be placed in the Howard’s Haven Mobile Home Park on the north end of Big Pine Key and the Seahorse RV Park on County Road at mile marker 31, also on Big Pine. Big Pine was among the hardest-hit areas from Irma, which made landfall as a Category 4 on Sept. 10.
