RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

PRVCA Hosting Succession Planning Webinar Series

145279421656314.gifCamp Hill, Penn. – The Pennsylvania RV and Camping Association is hosting a Succession Planning webinar series on Nov. 10 and 17. Each session will run from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.

For many business owners, their business represents 80 to 90 percent of their wealth. It is crucial to understand how to unlock this value at some point in the future because it will make a significant difference in an owner’s retirement lifestyle. Transitioning a business should not start just a few years prior to a business owner’s exit but much earlier.

In these two, one-hour sessions, you will learn meaningful “nuts and bolts” information about the process of transitioning your business.

Part One: Transitioning Your Business & Exit Strategies

An overview of the complexities of transitioning family-owned and closely held businesses with topics including working with advisors, inter-generational transition, communication during transition and exit strategies such as ESOPs, selling your business, and transitioning your business to family members or business associates.

Part Two: Business Valuations and Enhancing Value

Gain an understanding of how the value of your organization is determined and how to build value in your organization before transitioning.

The training session is valued at $300, but is free to PRVCA members.
