The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Recently, a vulnerability in Wi-Fi devices and internet encryption has been discovered by a security company that has been named KRACK. This vulnerability likely affects billions of devices worldwide that use WiFi and the WPA2 encryption standard. WiFiRanger is among the few leading wireless router companies that is addressing the security issue with extreme immediacy and regard for its customers' safety, according to a press release.
WiFiRanger has released a hot fix version 7.0.7 of its Phantom Firmware that resolves the WPA2 KRACK vulnerability issue. The firmware update is being tested internally, with availability to the beta group on Oct. 23. Waves of downloads will become available for all current product owners beginning on Oct. 26.
“Upon hearing of the vulnerability and its potential, we redirected all firmware engineering efforts to a resolution as soon as possible,” WiFiRanger Founder Kelly Hogan says. “We know that our customers want the most secure network possible, relying upon our efforts to ensure maximum security. We’re pleased that we were able to quickly protect our thousands of customers, securing their RV networks within days of the exploit discovery.”
