MORryde International announces Jayco, Inc. introduced The Orbital rotating rubber pin box on the Jayco Eagle HT line of fifth wheel trailers during the recent Elkhart Open House. According to a statement from MORryde, the new feature is the result of collaboration between MORryde and Jayco.
The Orbital design purportedly allows short-bed pick-up trucks to experience true 90-degree turning without the use of a slider hitch. The Orbital utilizes MORryde's time-tested rubber shear spring to provide the best combination of turning rotation and towing smoothness. The rubber shear spring absorbs the transfer of energy from the trailer to the truck. MERryed says this greatly reduces jerking and chucking common to fifth wheel towing.
This design is meant to give Eagle HT fifth wheel owners jerk-free starts and stops, and exceptional towing smoothness that MORryde says is common to its line of pin boxes. The Orbital features a simple, greaseable spindle for smooth turning rotation. The Orbital can also be used as a standard rubber pin box and allows for conventional towing due to a unique lock-out feature.
MORryde says the Jayco Eagle HT is the only product line combining the Orbital with MORryde's CRE3000 rubber equalizer system. As a result, Eagle HT offers industry-leading tip to tail towing smoothness.
