RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Dometic Featuring 9200 Awning at RVIA Show

151084814354815.jpgELKHART, Ind.—Dometic will feature the all new Dometic 9200 Awning at RVIA in booth No. 157 at the National RV Trade Show in Louisville from Nov. 27-30.

The Dometic 9200 Series Power Awning is designed to be quick and easy to install and has a one-touch operation. The awning features the all new WhisperDrive Motor.

The 9200 Series uses a patented Knee Action Design that flexes in moderate winds. There is also a manual Rain Shed position that prevents rainwater from pooling on the awning. For low sun angles, a manual pitch adjustment allows either end of the awning to be lowered and locked in place.

The new WhisperDrive provides an aerodynamic footprint, which is 50 percent more streamlined than the competition, creating a cleaner appearance on the coach. It is also designed to be fastest and quietest motor in the industry, according to a press release.
