RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

RV Products, a Division of Airxcel, Promotes Gehlen to Product Manager

151137194076066.jpgWichita, Kan.—RV Products, a division of Airxcel, Inc., and the manufacturer of Coleman-Mach air conditioners and Maxxair ventilation products, has announced the promotion of David Gehlen to product manager.

Gehlen has been with RV Products for more than 20 years in various engineering and product development roles.

In his new role, Gehlen will work closely with OEM product managers and design teams to develop new, innovative AC and ventilation solutions.

“David has been a significant asset to the innovations developed by RV Products throughout the years,” RV Products President Rob Leach says. “His knowledge of our products, our customers and their applications will provide even greater attention on OEM and consumer needs and desires.”
