RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

RVIA Announces Leadership Conference Schedule and Speakers

145072659275994.jpgRESTON, Va.—RVIA has announced the 2018 Leadership Conference, the annual RVIA member meeting for the RV industry, held Jan. 14-15, 2018 at the Marriott Tampa Waterside Hotel & Marina in Tampa, Florida, will feature keynote speakers on the economy and innovation, as well as a special luncheon focused on challenges facing the 40 Under 40 leaders.

Opening the day on Monday, Jan. 15 will be Peter Morici, an economist, emeritus professor of business at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, the University of Maryland and a national columnist. His views appear regularly in MarketWatch, the Washington Times, other major metropolitan dailies throughout the United States and Canada, and on the website of Fox and others. Morici will discuss the leading trends that will define the global economy over the next decade, key elements of the Trump Economic Program with an economic outlook for 2018 and 2019.

The Leadership Luncheon will feature a “40 Under 40” interactive session. RVIA will be asking the inaugural 40 Under 40 class to discuss the top challenges they are facing now and in the future. This will be a facilitated session that will spark conversations, generate solutions and provide tangible takeaways to implement throughout the industry.

On Monday afternoon, Josh Linkner, an internationally-recognized thought leader, New York Times Bestselling Author, and top-rated keynote speaker on innovation, creativity, reinvention and hyper-growth leadership, takes the stage. As the founder and CEO of five tech companies, Linkner built his businesses from a blank page into a combined value of more than $200 million. As a hyper-growth CEO of the past 20 years, he’s used innovative approaches to topple competitors, fight through adversity and achieve success at the highest levels.
