The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

SHIPSHEWANA, Ind. – Highland Ridge RV will showcase several models featuring first-to-market options at RVIA in Louisville, Kentucky, the company announced. Dealers will be able to view these feature in all Highland Ridge RV products, including Open Range and Mesa Ridge travel trailers and fifth wheels and Highlander toy haulers.
One new model to be on display, the Open Range 3X 384RLS, features several innovations Highland Ridge says are not commonly found in a fifth wheel, such as a main bedroom suite incorporating a lounge, fireplace, wine/beverage cooler, larger windows, king bed, and oversized his and hers closet area.
"Randy Graber has long been known in the Industry for his creativity and ingenuity, especially in creating floorplans that are targeting exactly what the retail consumer is looking for," says Jason Poole, general manager, Highland Ridge RV. "He and his team have been working on this new floorplan for some time, refining and tweaking it until it was perfect. They did an outstanding job bringing to market what Randy's vision was for this fifth wheel, and we are excited to showcase it in our display at Louisville."
Also on display will be the completely redesigned Highlander toy hauler, which debuted at the 2017 Elkhart Open House. "The Highlander toy hauler, which is the culmination of a lot of hard work by Jason Martin and his product team, has been a huge success since its rollout in September," says Marc Hauser, vice president of sales and product development for Jayco towables. "We have already seen incredible retail success with the product, and our team has been working hard to bring the next Highlander floorplans to our dealers before the quickly approaching show season. We will be showcasing these new floorplans in Louisville, along with new innovations for all of our brands," added Hauser.
