RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Lippert Components Promotes Mark Taylor to VP of Operations

151130045037459.jpgElkhart, Ind.—Lippert Components Inc. has announced the promotion of Mark Taylor from General Manager to Vice President of Operations, overseeing the daily operations of Plants 4, 48, 82 and 83 for the company.

“Mark’s leadership at multiple divisions has been a driving factor in the growth and success of LCI,” Lippert Interiors Vice President Ryan Smith says. “Mark’s operational experience, coupled with his passion for taking care of fellow team members and customers, makes him a perfect fit for this new opportunity.”

In his new role, Taylor will oversee operations for the company’s stamping, seat frame and the HappiJac product lines. Taylor began his career with LCI more than 10 years ago in the company’s purchasing department, and for the past six years, has worked as General Manager of Plant 50 in Goshen, Indiana.

“The team at Interiors is second to none,” Taylor says. “Watching our team members develop into caring leaders has transformed the lives of thousands. It has been a pleasure to grow alongside our operational team and partners for the past 10 years, and I am looking forward to building on that."

Taylor graduated from Ball State University in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
