Andersen Hitches has introduced The Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection 2 to the RV market.
Andersen Hitches started as a small manufacturing company with big ideas for the towing industry, and its fifth wheel hitches are being recognized as a universal brand with a lineup of trailer hitches for every budget.
The Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection has always been a best seller for the company. When competitors were selling bulky, expensive fifth wheel hitches, Andersen released a new product that was lightweight, low maintenance and low-priced.
“We are constantly coming up with ways to improve our products,” Andersen Hitches Vice President Andrew Porter says. “The industry is constantly changing, so we adapt and improve our products to be some of the strongest on the market.”
Beginning in 2015, the engineers at Andersen started to revamp the Original Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection. The new design needed to maintain the best features of the original version while improving the overall structure and peppering in a few new features here and there.
By studying the feedback from the thousands of owners of the original Ultimate Connection and by dedicating hundreds of hours to testing, the Andersen Hitches team got to work upgrading the product.
To fit the cross bracing of newer trucks, Andersen Hitches offset where the base sits in the truck bed. By opting for two triangle plates on the side (rather than a single plate on the front) and widening the stance of the arms, the strength and structure of the Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection 2 can handle bigger, heavier loads than it could before.
The Ultimate Connection 2 maintains the same pyramid design and is made from high quality, aircraft-grade aluminium. The strength and structure of this hitch weighs in at 35 pounds.
The Andersen team also came up with a 6-inch-wide funnel to the King Pin Block, which can guide the ball to the hitch and receive the ball as long as the RVer gets it close.
The Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection 2 is available for $769.99 and can be purchased online or from one of the dealers across the country.
