RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Dometic's Celebrity Chef Kevin Roberts Demonstrates at RVIA Show

151180063059137.jpgELKHART, Ind. – Dometic will host live cooking demonstrations with celebrity Chef Kevin Roberts during each day of RVIA National RV Show this week at booth #157.

Roberts has a knack for concocting healthy yet creative dishes and does so enthusiastically, Dometic says in a press release. He grew up in kitchens with his family, and studied health, nutrition, and kinesiology in college.

Since participating in The Next Food Network Star and hosting BBQ Pitmasters on Discovery Channel, Kevin has opened several restaurants across the United States where he is the owner and executive chef. Additionally, he has a new TV series, Grill of Victory, which can be seen on Travel Channel and Amazon Prime.

Aside from his own business ventures, Kevin travels the country with Dometic, performing cooking demonstrations and explains how to utilize appliances designed for RVs to make even a novice cook into a mobile master chef.

The live demonstrations will take place each day of the show at several times throughout the day. The release says Rogers will feature amazing recipes, delicious food, and instruction on how to recreate them with Dometic appliances:

Tuesday, November 28: Live demonstrations of Roger's Award-Winning Buffalo Chicken Dip with Tri-Colored Corn Chips at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.

Wednesday, November 29: Live demonstrations of Kentucky BBQ Beef Sliders with Gorgonzola Cream Sauce at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.

Thursday, November 30: Live demonstration of Kentucky Bourbon Beef Chili with Assorted Accoutrements at 11 a.m.
