RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Thor Motor Coach Debuts Four New Models at RVIA Show

150039303088058.jpgThor Motor Coach debuted four new models at the RVIA National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Kentucky.

Thor debuted the Four Winds 25V, a new type C that features three sleeping areas, including a cab-over bunk and two twin beds with king conversions. It also has a 71-inch Dream dinette that comes standard on the floorplan.

Thor also unveiled the Vegas 25.6, a recreational utility vehicle that features a flip-up queen bed, a 76-inch Dream dinette and a drop-down overhead bunk.

The Hurricane 34R is another entry in the type A gas market that has a 50-inch LED TV with theater seating opposite, a king bed in the back, residential style kitchen with a residential size refrigerator and plenty of storage space throughout the coach.

The Tuscany 40RT is Thor's type A diesel motorhome, featuring a retractable 55-inch LED smart HDTV with opposing 68-inch reclining theater seating. A dinette that features a buffet line and can be extended through a slide is also in the living area. Another Tilt-A-View inclining king bed is in the bedroom, with a 32-inch LED TV. A fireplace along with another 40-inch LED HDTV and a residential style kitchen is another feature in the living area of the motorhome.
