RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

RVIA Seeks TNT Program Education Representative

RVIA is seeking an Education Representative to obtain dealers and RV service providers to participate in the TNT program. The TNT program invites RVIA supplier members to deliver training to RV service technicians in dealerships across the country. The representative schedules the training with the dealer and enrolls participants in trainings. TNT representatives also deliver a registered course throughout their territory.

Specific job duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • Recruit new dealers and service providers to participate in the TNT program.

  • Maintain existing relationships with stakeholders through various means of contact.

  • Schedule trainings and enroll participants.

  • Maintain technician certification and training records.

  • Obtain feedback from trainers and trainees to maintain and improve delivery of program.

  • Deliver registered course and administer registered exams at dealerships in territory.


  • The Education Representative position is a field position. Representative will cover the Midwestern and Eastern United States, therefore the ideal candidate would reside on the east coast of US. Job could entail travel up to 50 percent of the time with some travel spanning over weekends.

    Required Skills & Experience: This position requires 5 years or more experience in the RV service industry and 2 years or more experience in the field of adult training. A qualified candidate would be a RVDA/RVIA Registered Technician. RVDA/RVIA Certified Technician qualification is preferred. Demonstrates knowledge of basic electricity and propane. An excellent communicator with a member first approach to their daily tasks. Possess proficiency in Microsoft Office with experience in Office 360. Requires an individual who is a self-starter with strong organizational and follow up skills.
