RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Dougherty and Blue Ox Team Up for Tech Class on Short Notice

151240451533561.jpgThe New England RV Dealers Association (NERVDA) issued a notice that registration for the class Blue Ox Technician Training is open on short notice. The class will be held this Friday, Dec. 8, at Diamond RV Centre in West Hatfield, Massachusetts. The class will feature instruction on two Super Hitches and a 1,000-pound SwayPro hitch.

According to the notice, there will be two classes, one form 9 a.m. to noon, and another from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.Each class is limited to 16 technicians, and seats are available on a first come, first served basis.

NERVDA is partnering with Trailer Life Magazine's Chris Dougherty and Blue Ox for these hands-on training sessions as Dougherty installs Blue Ox hitches for a feature story in the magazine.
