The Luxe Gold replaces the Ambition, a luxury fifth wheel that the company retired to make way for the new fifth wheel product.

"Just at the end of this year, we have started a brand new product called the Luxe Gold," The RV Factory marketing director Ed Kiefer says. "It's a completely different way of construction to make for a much lighter weight and wider body."

The Luxe Elite is constructed similar to how houses are built, where the frame is built and the fiberglass walls are then hung. However, the Luxe Gold is constructed with a lighter weight construction, 3-inch thick walls with welded aluminum framing and measuring 101 inches wide.

"That's kind of unusual for the RV industry with the really thick wall with a welded aluminum structure framing," Kiefer says. "It's vacuum-bond laminated and it's got a thermos-carbon installation inside it."

One of the new features The RV Factory added is attic storage in the top of the coach. A large bank of cabinet space was added in the top of the living area to take advantage of the wider body.

"It's more like an attic," Kiefer says, "because it's a place you wouldn't get into very often, but it allows you to have more storage."

Kiefer says the reception for the Luxe Gold took a little while to gain ground, but the last few weeks, the reception has been very good.

"It started off slow, because people were a little confused why we were getting rid of the Ambition," he says. "But it has really picked up speed once people found out that it was a completely different build."
