Regency RV Adds Toppers Camping Center to Dealer Network

The coaches are built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis in Fort Worth, Texas.

Dymon Farrer, national sales manager for the company said that Regency is looking for a very select group of dealers to take on its new Xalta brand, and Toppers Camping Center is a perfect fit in Texas.

“Partnering with Regency RV is another step in furthering the full Go RVing experience,” Toppers Camping Center General Manager Larry Troutt says. “It’s nice getting back into a segment that was missing on our lot. To be with a Texas manufacturer is a big deal to us and we think it will be a big deal for our customers.”

Troutt liked the craftsmanship he experienced at Regency’s Fort Worth facility, he says.

“Texas-made stuff is what we like and it just looks and feels better than all the competition we saw at the recent Louisville RVIA dealer show,” Troutt says. “Having a unit that holds up to the competition with a more reasonable MSRP and to know that ours looks way better, makes us confident we have a very good chance to do real well with Regency products.”

Toppers Camping Center was founded in 1967 by Troutt’s grandfather and has been continuously operated by the three generations of family since. They are known as the oldest and one of the largest of the Houston/Harris County metropolitan area dealerships providing Recreational Vehicles, RV service, accessories & repair parts, new & used camper sales, finance and insurance.

“When it comes to Regency RV dealers, Toppers Camping Center is the perfect venue for our new Regency Xalta Class B motor homes,” Farrer says. “Toppers caters to many high–end buyers looking for something distinctive and different. At Regency, we don’t want to become the biggest in the Class B market. Our goal is to become one of the best—and we share this passion for excellence with Toppers.”

According to the company, Regency RV coaches are not built on a conventional assembly line but rather one at a time with most components, like the handcrafted cabinetry and upholstery, crafted in-house by hand.
