RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Lippert Components Plans to Annex Land for Multi-Facility Development

GOSHEN, Ind.—Goshen City Council members on Tuesday will be asked to consider a land annexation request that, if approved, could lead to the construction of a major multi-facility development by Lippert Components Inc.

During the meeting, council members will hear a request from Lippert for annexation by the city of about 330 acres of land located at 16629 C.R. 36, just southeast of the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds on the city’s south side.

Council members got the ball rolling on the annexation request during their Oct. 24 meeting, and will be asked to approve the request Tuesday on first reading. Should the request be approved on first reading,it will move forward for a second and final reading at a future meeting.

Lippert officials told The Goshen News they plan to use the property as the location of a new manufacturing facility focused on light manufacturing, research and development with the potential for multiple facilities at the site.
