RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

NeXus RV and Poulsbo RV Finalizing Agreement to Sell NeXus Products

150272486881652.jpgElkhart, Ind.—NeXus RV and Poulsbo RV have finalized an agreement to have the mega-dealer sell and service NeXus RV products in Washington.

“We have been looking forward to getting the NeXus RV product on the ground,” Poulsbo RV Chief Operations Officer Will Rogers says. “I was impressed with the vision of Claude and Dave and like the attention to quality when I visited their plant. Our staff is excited about the opportunity and have been anticipating its arrival. We plan on having it represented at each of our five locations. The lineup looks great and we feel we can do very well with it.”

“We are happy to finalize the relationship with Poulsbo RV as they are a premier dealership in North America,” NeXus RV President and Co-Founder Dave Middleton says. “We feel really good about building our business with the team at Poulsbo RV. They are simply professionals. Our customers will be well taken care of as they have super service.”

NeXus RV was founded in 2010 and is headquartered in Elkhart, Indiana. NeXus RV was a factory direct manufacturer until September, when it announced that it would establish a dealer network. Since then, Vice President of Sales Steve Jacobs says the dealers’ response was better than expected, with 15 dealers in about 22 locations immediately jumping on board.

Dealers for the manufacturer are now established or are in negotiations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Ohio, Oklahoma, Nevada, New Jersey, Texas and Washington. The manufacturer also is planning on moving into the Canadian market over the next few months.

Poulsbo RV was founded in 1986in the one location of Poulsbo, Washington. Since then, it has grown to five locations throughout the state – Auburn, Everett, Fife, Kent and Mount Vernon and has become one of the premier RV dealers in the Pacific Northwest.
