Baxter, who joined the staff in November, comes to the magazine with two decades of journalism experience. She is an award-winning newspaper reporter and editor who worked in small and mid-size markets across Colorado and New Mexico. In her last newspaper role, she was editor of two Colorado weekly papers that kept a keen focus on their communities.

“I’m happy to be joining the team at RV News,” Baxter says. “While I’m new to the magazine staff, I have been learning much about the industry for more than a year via my role as a contributing writer for the magazine. Joining the team means I can start acquiring knowledge at an even greater pace and get to know many more people who make the industry fun and exciting.”

Thomas has written for small- and mid-sized market newspapers in Colorado, state agencies and universities, as well as startups and high-tech companies.

“I’m hoping to be a valuable part of a team that is working aggressively on digital content and making the RV News website an integral asset for the industry,” Thomas says.

“It’s pretty exciting to have two veteran journalists of Julie and Jeff’s experience join the RV News team. Between the two of them, they have nearly 50 years of experience as working journalists at very respected newspapers,” Dana Nelsen, owner of RV News Magazine says. “Julie will be the primary contact for stories that appear in the magazine, and Jeff will be responsible for all e-media editorial content on our website and in our e-newsletter. With these two additions, we will be providing more industry related news than ever before.”
