The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

REV Recreation Group is recalling some 2018 Fleetwood Axon, Bounder, Flair, Southwind, Pace Arrow and Pace Arrow LXE motorhomes, and some 2018 Holiday Rambler Navigator , Navigator XE, Reno, Vacationer and Vacationer XE motorhomes because of an issue with their satellite dishes.
The satellite dishes could detach from the roof while the coaches are in motion, which could create a road hazard and/or increase the risk of crash or injury, according to a recall notice posted on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration site safercar.gov. The potential number of units affected is 69, according to the post.
REV will notify owners and dealers, at no cost, will secure the satellite dishes to roofs with a metal reinforcement, according to the post. The recall is expected to begin Feb. 9.
