RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

RVDA Hosts Sexual Harassment Webinar

151542839948776.pngThe Recreational Vehicle Dealers Association is sponsoring a webinar from 1 to 2 p.m., EST, on sexual harassment in the workforce. KPA, an RVDA-endorser provider of human resource software and consulting services will host the webinar, which will include information on:

• What behaviors count as sexual harassment
• How to develop and enforce anti-harassment policies
• Compliance reminders for federal and state laws
• Reporting and investigation tips
• Accountability and understanding consequences

Surveys indicate up to 70 percent of U.S. women have experienced sexual harassment in the workforce. Presenter Christina Johnson is KPA’s Lead Human Resources Consultant, with more than has 20 years of HR management, benefits management, and consulting experience.

Johnson will be joined by Jill Schaefer, KPA’s Content & Community Manager. She has spent the last 16 years in marketing positions with writing and intrigue at the core of her work. In her role at KPA, she writes about what regulations really mean to clients.
