The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

The Recreational Vehicle Dealers Association of Canada and NTP-Stag Canada will award 11 bursaries valued at $1,000 each and one bursary at $1,500 to eligible RV technicians in all Canadian Provinces and Territories who have enrolled in RV apprenticeship or related education programs.
The eligible training period for consideration of the 2017-2018 bursary is from August 1, 2017 to May 31, 2018. Bursaries, or reimbursements for educational expenses, will be awarded to students with serious interest and desire to succeed in the RV industry as demonstrated by successful program completion with higher than average grades.
One bursary application per technician, per RVDA member location are eligible under the program. To enter, please verify membership on www.rvda.ca and submit a copy of the final course transcript for the 2017-2018 term(s). No mail or fax applications will be accepted.
Only one application is considered regardless of the number of training periods or courses completed.
This bursary will be awarded to the technician. The dealership must be a member in good standing with the RVDA of Canada.
Successful applicants must:
• Answer all questions in written or video essay format
• Successfully pass each course with a minimum of 70% passing grade or higher depending on the course specification
• Submit application on or before June 1, 2018 to email@example.com.
The bursary program is applicable only to the eligible training programs listed below, which were completed between August 1, 2017 and May 31, 2018.
