RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Reineke Teams with Coleman of Toledo for New Dealership

151603413731960.pngReineke Family Dealerships announced a partnership with Coleman Sales & Service, of Toledo, Ohio Sunday to create Reineke RV, according to an article in the Advertiser-Tribune.

Reineke RV will be locateded at 5353 Lewis Ave., Toledo, and offer new and used folding trailers, expandable trailers, travel trailers and fifth wheels from Starcraft as well as accessories, genuine parts, installation, maintenance and repair in its full-service facility, notes the article quoting a press release.

“Coleman Sales & Service has been in business since 1960 and is owned by the Chaflin family,” the article notes. “Reineke Family Dealerships was founded in 1960 by William F. Reineke Sr., and is a family-owned organization with 450 full- and part-time employees and dealerships in multiple cities including Tiffin and Fostoria.

Apparently the Chaflins and the Reineke families are close frinds, and the Chaflins will continue to lead and manage the new dealership. Reineke RV is to make its inaugural appearance at the 2018 Camp & Travel RV Show at the SeaGate Convention Centre, 401 Jefferson Ave, Toledo, Jan. 26-28.
