Delivering affordable fifth wheel units which can be towed by most half-ton trucks, while maintaining a high level of quality and innovation, has been a focus for the Highland product development team, the release states.

One of the new models debuting in Tampa, the Open Range Ultra Lite UF2804RK, offers an impressive open concept rear kitchen floorplan with an abundance of kitchen countertop space and ample storage- with a UVW under 7,500 pounds. Offered in an exterior length just under 30 feet, this new model holds true to the Highland Ridge RV standards of excellence by featuring theatre seating, a 60x 80-inch queen bed with ample upper deck headroom and walk around space and windows in the slides for much desired bedroom cross ventilation.

The display will feature several additional affordable and lightweight fifth wheel models, which are new for 2018. The Ultra Lite UF2950BH is the ideal unit for families not interested in the expensive, heavy full-profile fifth wheel models. With an exterior length just under 34 feet and UVW under 8,500 lbs., this model offers families a fifth wheel with luxury and space without the weight.

The 2018 Light LF291RLS offers features not commonly found in a lightweight fifth wheel. With two residential full sized pantries in the kitchen, a rear sofa, and theater sofa across from the TV, the Light LF291RLS is just under 32’ with a UVW under 8,000 pounds.

The product development team at Highland Ridge RV has also been focused on designing full-profile, luxury fifth wheel models offered at attractive weights and price points. Debuting in Tampa, the Open Range OF314RLS offers the luxury features for which Highland Ridge RV is known with a UVW of 10,685 pounds and exterior length under 36 feet. This new full-profile luxury fifth wheel includes a massive galley-style kitchen, rear sofa and available king bed slide with base MSRPs starting below $65,000.

The new HF350 Highlander luxury fifth wheel toy hauler will also be displayed in Tampa. With a UVW of 12,675 pounds and base MSRP starting under $67,000, the HF350 luxury toy hauler is much lighter and more affordable than other luxury garage model fifth wheels. The HF350 features 1.5 baths, 12-foot 6-inch garage, full sized panty storage, and party sofa slide.

“Our team has been diligently working to create innovative, high-quality product in the size, weights and price points our consumers are seeking,” says Jason Poole, the general manager of Highland Ridge RV. “They did an outstanding job bringing our vision to market, and we are excited to showcase it in our display at Tampa."
