The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Following the tailgating ads during the college football season, Go RVing is now ready for a forward press on the college hardcourt, according to a press release from the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association. In partnership with Learfield Sports, the Go RVing logo will be featured on courtside signage for 10 clock minutes during the ESPN primetime college basketball game 8:15 p.m., EST, Saturday.
Two SEC rivals, the University of Kentucky Wildcats and the University of Florida Gators, are facing off so the signage could result in some good national exposure. Throughout the remainder of the basketball season, Go RVing will receive five minutes of courtside signage during Wildcats home games.
“These games will boost Go RVing’s visibility – in the 2016/17 season, the Wildcats averaged 26 million viewers/televised homegame, the Lakers averaged 14 million,” the release states. “Saturday’s game is a preview of a yearlong partnership with Learfield Sports including college basketball radio and TV coverage, NCAA’s Coaches vs Cancer Suits & Sneakers program, a country music national campus tour, college tailgating and more.
