RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Webinar Held Held on Reducing Violence in the Workforce

151542839948776.pngWith nearly 2 million American workers reported as victims of workplace violence each year, the RV Learning Center and KPA Webinar have partnered on a “Reducing the Threat of Workplace Violence,” webinar set for 1 to 2 p.m., EST, on Monday, Jan. 30. Presenters will focus on methods to reduces the chances of a workplace violence situation occurring, including:

• What is workplace violence and who's at risk
• Steps to reduce workplace violence
• How to respond to potential violence situations
• How to protect yourself against an aggressor
• Aftermath — how to help your employees cope

Presenter Gregory Arace is a KPA HR Consultant. He has more than 17 years of human resources experience, ranging in areas from recruitment, benefits, training and development to employee relations. He focuses on helping KPA clients accomplish best practices and success on the KPA platform. purpose. He has a BA in English/Journalism from Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado.

Presenter Kelly Pinkerton is also a KPA HR Consultant. In a former life, she was the Payroll Manager at a prominent bank in Ohio and has more than years of experience managing payroll and a HRIS system. Kelly's undergraduate degree is in Organizational Leadership and Business. She is also a U.S. Army veteran who served as an Automated Logistics Specialist from 2001-2007, and served a tour in Tikrit, Iraq from 2003-2005.
