RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Rear View Safety Unveils Quad-View Vehicle Backup Monitor

151666080492485.pngRear View Safety has introduced the RVS-3710-DVR 7-inch Digital Quad View Color Monitor with Built-in DVR, the latest addition to its line of vehicle backup safety systems.

The monitor can display images from multiple cameras and includes a GPS antenna that logs a vehicle’s position and speed. Four trigger wires let the vehicle operator to view specific cameras based on user actions, for example, viewing the backup camera when the vehicle is shifted into reverse gear.

The RVS-3710-DVR also assists with turning, backing up, and other difficult driving situations. The unit supports 720p analog high-definition cameras and a power harness connects the monitor to any five-pin camera. In addition, the monitor system includes a USB 2.0 interface. An adjustable sensor safeguards important footage with override protection.
