Automotive Pattern Recognition Technology Changes Hands

Mon Jan 22, 2018

Teamtronics Inc., has purchase High Tech Solutions’ Automotive Pattern Recognition (APR) technology and business.

The APR system is a computer vision image-processing system that’s been optimized for vehicle recognition and is used for applications such as security, surveillance, access control, electronic toll collection, and traffic and parking management. The technology combines artificial intelligence that uses pattern recognition abilities filtered through a multilayered decision process to make identifications.

According to Teamtronics’ CEO, Shai Lustgarten, the market for APR-related technology is expected to rise to $4.25 billion by 2023 and the acquisition of High Tech Solutions’ assets in this area “positions us as a strong contender to capture a meaningful share of this growing multi-billion dollar market.”

“This acquisition brings with it a strong team of reputable scientists and experienced engineers focused on the further development of cutting-edge solutions, which we believe will enable us to drive growth and profitability,” Lustgarten says.

Teamtronics’ acquisition includes all of High Tech Solutions’ APR assets, including intellectual property and customer base.
