Hexa Research released “Automotive Electronics Market Size by Application,” a market-research report that estimate that the global automotive electronics market will expand to an estimated $290 billion by 2024.
This market sector includes application such as body electronics, vehicle safety systems, powertrain, infotainment, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which feature a human/machine interface to help avoid collisions and accidents. ADAS systems offer such features as adaptive cruise controls, automated braking and lighting systems, GPS, antilock brakes, lane-departure warnings and traction control.
Hexa’s report identifies ADAS applications as a high-growth market, primarily due to the growth of safety regulations that have spurred adoption of numerous in-car active safety systems. In addition, demand for in-vehicle data storage to support a growing interest in access to infotainment while on the road is predicted to contribute to expansion of the automotive electronics market.
