The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Glacier Ice House is giving national and international media visiting Minnesota for the Super Bowl the chance to see what ice fishing is all about and to experience what many in the state enjoy during the winter months, according to an article on the Recreationa Vehicle Dealers Association.
Various models and colors have been set up for the media on Lake Minnetonka by Glacier, including the RV Explorer and Sportsman’s Den limited edition.
While all media personal are given the opportunity to visit the ice houses and film and photo shoot the experience to relay home to their audience, apparently there is also some cold weather living experiences for the more adventurous members of the fourth estate.
"There are models close to shore along with houses located out on the lake for the adventurous reporters who want the complete ice fishing experience," the RVDA story says. "Media members making pre-reservations prior to arrival in Minneapolis for Super Bowl week so far have included CBS Sports, NBC Sports, CNN, along with various TV stations and newspapers from around the United States along with one station from Germany."
