RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

National RV Training Academy Building Facility in Athens, Texas

151788058352823.pngThe National RV Training Academy broke ground last week for construction on 3 acres of property just outside of Athens, Texas, according to the academy’s Facebook page. Included in the construction is a “BIG Red School House” that will house numerous training operations, primarily for the National RV Training Academy. This facility will provide RV Technical and Maintenance Training via classroom and service bay training all under one roof.

“Training programs will be available for new the RVer that just wants to learn how to successfully get started with their new equipment, all the way to NRVIA Certification Programs providing training for dealer and mobile RV technicians,” the Facebook story says. “Our goal is to be cutting the ribbon on this new facility July 14, 2018 – exactly one year from the date the RV Park was acquired.”
