The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

PullRite Towing Systems is expecting big things from their new SuperLite (1P) Single Point 5th Wheel Hitch following its reception from dealers at the distributor shows in January.

Company information stresses the product protects against damage to the truck bed, incorporating Bed Saver Rails that act as a buffer between the hitch base and the bed.
“The optional Bed Saver Rail Lube Plate Kit, sold separately, provides even more protection from bed damage and creates the quietest, smoothest ride available,” the company says. “The underside of the Bed Saver Rails are lined with a protective coating to eliminate aluminum-to-steel corrosion, protect from scratches and reduce the hitch rotation on the ball. The Bed Saver Rails insulate the truck from fore and aft movement inherent in single point attachment hitches.”
As with all PullRite products the SuperLite Single Point (1P) has been subjected to extensive static and dynamic testing, both static and dynamic, according to the company. The unique “arch” frame design, coupled with the use of high-grade US Steel component, enabled the hitch to achieve a SAE J2638 rating of 20K with a mere 64-pound installation weight.
“Once the hitch is installed it is secured by a conical washer and high-grade steel bolt and nut,” the company states. “This unique design eliminates the need for 're-torqueing' after hitching to the trailer, a requirement on other single point hitches. For added security the steel Draw-down bolt is drilled to allow for the optional Lock-Kit to be installed (sold separately #2617)."
Like the SuperLite 4P - ISR mount, No. 2400, the new SuperLite 1P incorporates PullRite’s exclusive “Ball and Funnel” coupling system. The flexible design of both models allow the king pin to be positioned rear of the trucks axle allowing for a tighter turning radius for both long and short bed tow vehicles.
