RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Thor Industries Sets March 7 as Preliminary Date for 2Q Results

151519035029881.pngThor Industries, Inc., announced a preliminary date of March 7 for release of its fiscal 2018 second quarter earnings. The Elkhart, Indiana firm says the release will come after market close and the final release date will be confirmed approximately a week prior to the release.

Upon the release of Thor’s earnings, the company says it will concurrently provide a comprehensive question-and-answer document, as well as a PowerPoint presentation on the its website.
In November, the company reported a record first-quarter net income of $128.4 million, or $2.43 per diluted share, on record first-quarter revenues of $2.23 billion. Gross profit for the first quarter ending Oct. 31, 2017 increased 40.7 percent to $333.2 million.
