The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

October of last year turned out to be fortuitous for the RV Care Network as it signed its first exclusive Canadian distribution agreement with Coachmen RV, representing the new Northern Spirit Ultra-Lite travel trailer, according to the Canada-wide network of over 60 top independent RV dealerships.
“Before the ink could dry, we had 36 RV Care dealers from across the country signed up to represent Northern Spirit in their respective markets,” says Derek Paterson, RV Care national sales manager for the Northern Spirit. “The reputation of Coachmen RV as a high-quality, service-minded manufacturer and the high level of trust many of our dealer associate stores had in the Coachmen brands, made this a very simple choice for us. We’re thrilled at the early support we’ve gained, and very anxious to show the product to the Canadian consumers.”
The first Northern Spirit rolled up to Ruston RV Centre in Burlington, Ontario, in January, and it didn’t take long to get one off the lot either, says Rob Sneyd, the dealer principal at Ruston RV Centre.
“It’s a definite eye catcher, coupled with loaded features that today’s RVer’s are looking for,” Sneyd says. “We just showed it at the Hamilton RV Expo and saw huge interest, even got the first Northern Spirit sold.”
