RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

GO RVing, Learfield Sports Make Sports Events Branding Agreement

Go RVing announces a yearlong partnership with Learfield Sports that will result in Go RVing branding being touted at a number of sports events, such as college basketball radio and television coverage, the NCAA’s “Suits and Sneakers” program, a country music national campus tour and college tailgating, according to a story from the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association.

The agreement also includes radio ads covering 108 schools, Go RVing being the title sponsor for basketball games at eight different colleges, and display of Go RVing signage at University of Kentucky games and conference tournaments for Atlantic 10, Big Sky, Big West, Missouri Valley, Mountain West, Patriot League, and Southland conferences. Also part of the agreement are eight event activations at seven country music concerts and at the University of Alabama's spring football game. The concert activations will include the University of Iowa Concert Series, and the Carolina Country Music Festival, as well as Go RVing branded Myrtle Beach Dream Roadtrip contest in which a winner will take an RV roadtrip to meet Luke Bryan and the Zac Brown Band at the Carolina Country Music Festival.

“This is an innovative campaign that will put the RV lifestyle in the midst of some of the nation’s more popular events,” says Karen Redfern, Go RVing Vice President, Brand & Marketing Communications. “It’s a great opportunity to connect with key audiences at exciting events and venues around the country.”

In addition, later in 2018 in Florida are the Carnivale on the Mile, a consumer-focused event in early March in Miami, and We All Grow, a gathering of 475 Latina influencers that will feature Go RVing PR staff taking participants on an RV tour of a resort campground.

Go RVing is also developing a television plan for 2018, on The Matador Network, featuring Bass Master Brandon Palaniuk; The Food Network, featuring “The Kitchen; the Ellen DeGeneres Show, highlighting Macey Hensley who will be doing an RV tour on the West Coast; and Extra, including a Mario Lopez RV trip.
