As many as 240 college juniors and seniors could take part in the “What’s Next?” program, spending the weekend meeting with potential employers, seeing Elkhart County, and touring businesses, according to a story in the South Bend Tribune. The idea, and enactment came from Levon Johnson, president/CEO of the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce, who says Elkhart needs to recruit workers much the same as college sports team would recruit.

“This is our major recruiting weekend,” Johnson says.
