RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Elkhart Regional Partnership Promotes Niespodziany to VP

152002932158121.jpgThe South Bend Elkhart Regional Partnership recently promoted Sarah Niespodziany to vice president of marketing and strategic communications, according to a story in the Elkhart Truth. Niespodziany will oversee the communications, marketing and brand strategy, events, stakeholder relations and execution of other initiatives.


"Sarah is a critical part of the Regional Partnership's team," says Regina Emberton, president and CEO of the Regional Partnership. "Because of her involvement throughout the Regional Cities process and our regional branding initiative, Sarah has a unique knowledge base and ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of stakeholders who are working together to advance our economy and share this exciting story both within and beyond the region."

The South Bend-Elkhart Regional Partnership is a collaboration of the economic development partners from 47 smart connected communities in Northern Indiana and Southwest Michigan. The organization serves as a single point of contact for regional communication and seeks to create economic opportunities for all partner members through collaborative promotion, marketing and capacity-building efforts.
