RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Lazydays Names New VP of Dealer and Customer Support

Lazydays RV today announced that Victor J. Doran is joining “The RV Authority” as its new vice president of service, effective March 12. Doran joins Lazydays from Navistar Inc., where he was vice president of dealer and customer support, responsible for service support across a network of 760 dealers in the U.S. and Canada. Doran brings more than 20 years of extensive experience in fixed operations and service support.

“I am pleased to welcome Victor to the Lazydays team,” says Bill Murnane, chairman and CEO of Lazydays RV. “Victor’s long experience and deep understanding of service operations in a large dealership network will allow him to have a long and lasting impact on our business. Victor is the ideal person to lead our effort to create a national RV service network that provides a best-in-class experience for each and every customer.”

Doran will lead RV service teams in all current and future Lazydays locations. He will report directly to Murnane.

"This is an exciting time to join Lazydays. I look forward to using my experience to help Lazydays service operations continue to grow our position as a leader in the RV industry,” Doran says.

Doran received his bachelor's in mechanical engineering technology from Kent State University.
