RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Giant RV Expands in California

Giant RV has acquired an 11-acre facility in Downey, California, with a 100,000-square-foot indoor showroom, and a fully equipped service and parts center.

The lot at at 11111 Florence Ave., where the 5 freeway meets the 605 freeway has the capacity to showcase hundreds of RV units.

“We are very excited about acquiring this great facility,” says Bob Barouti, owner of Giant RV. “The inside showroom gives customers a great way to enjoy seeing over 100 RVs on display. And our lot has a unit capacity around 300 RVs. We look forward to doing business in this great city.”

The Downey location will be hiring more than 60 people from the area.
