RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Go RVing Launches Photo Contest (VIDEO)

Go RVing Canada has launched a season-long Wildhood Photo Contest to promote the "Bring Back Wildhood" campaign; from June 4, 2018 until the end of September, RVers across Canada are invited to submit and share their best RV Camping photo via the photo contest landing page and/or on Instagram using hashtag #WildhoodPhotoContest2018.

Go RVing will choose the best RV camping photo in these categories:
• People - portraits or families
• Landscape - showcasing where you are
• Nature - showcasing what you see
• RVs – Show off what makes you and your RV special

Campers can submit as many photos as they’d like and each entry will be entered to win a randomly drawn prize each month, plus a prize for winning the category and an overall grand prize at the end of the contest.

For the category and grand Prizes, the jury of camping and photo experts includes:
• Chris Mahony (Go RVing Canada President)
• Shane Devenish (CCRVC)
• Eleonore Hamm (President RVDA Canada)
• Influencer and Photographer Dax Justin
• RV ambassador and photographer Kelsy Nielson

There are nine prizes in total to be won including a grand prize Dometic CFX 40W Power Cooler worth $1000, Category prizes of $150 fuel cards, and monthly random draws for a Weber Jumbo Joe BBQ.
