The following is an open letter to RVIA members from Ellen Kietzmann, president of Blue Ox:

Dear Fellow RVIA Member:

For the past 24 years, I have had the privilege to grow along with the RV industry. My former role as the Vice President of Blue Ox and now as the President/CEO has given me the great opportunity to work with all sectors: OEMs, suppliers, distributors, and dealers; to counter challenges and develop opportunities in the North American and worldwide markets.

I am seeking your vote to the election of the RVIA board so I may continue to contribute to the important work of our aftermarket association and work hard to address the following issues:

- I believe that engaging and creating a collaborative business environment leads to good decision making and delivers results that no single company or entity can deliver on their own.

- Assist in the courageous movement to reduce repair cycle times to keep our customers on the road and enjoying the lifestyle they love best.

- No segment stands alone in facing the future of the RV industry. I am dedicated in finding ways to work together to address emerging competition from non-RV recreational options.

- Work with other organizations to promote the maintenance of our infrastructure so people can access updated, clean and functional camping facilities that address the needs of the emerging market.

If elected, I will work with all sectors of the market to address these issues and continue to promote the RV lifestyle in a positive way that encourages participation for the generations to come.

I have previously served our aftermarket and industry associations in several capacities:

RVAA: Led the membership committee for the 7+ years in the development of new membership orientation; new product showcase; served on the board to change the strategic direction of the association previously known as WDA (Warehouse Distributor Association) to the current RVAA (RV Aftermarket Association). I have served as Secretary, Vice President, President and Past President of RVAA.

RVDA: Show and Membership committees.

RVIA: Chairman of the Warranty Task team for the Committee of Excellence. This team focused on improving the warranty process amongst dealers, suppliers and manufacturers. The Membership committee, and most recently the Trade Show Committee.

I would be honored to serve you as an RVIA Board member and I will work hard to represent our mutual interest and needs that will grow our industry. Please contact me with any questions you may have at (712) 389-6444 or at ellenkietzmann@blueox.com.

Kind regards,

Ellen Kietzmann
