The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

The RV Industry Association’s new board members have been elected for the 2018-2021 term.
Twelve candidates ran to fill seven seats that were up for re-election. The new board members will join 16 of their colleagues beginning Oct. 1, as the association continues executing its strategic priorities including the launch of RVX: The RV Experience and the RV Technical Institute.
Board members selected were:
Manufacturer Representatives: Chris Baum, Liberty Outdoors; Paul Cassidy, Erwin Hymer Group; Jack Cole, Lance Campers/REV Group; and Brett Randall, Columbia Northwest/Aliner.
Supplier Representative:Ellen Kietzmann, Blue Ox.
At Large Representatives: Garry Enyart, Onan/Cummins Power Generation; and Elden Wood, Carefree of Colorado.
The Board of Directors has the highest level of authority in the association’s organizational structure and is responsible for association matters including setting and overseeing strategy and policy related to critical topics such as standards, marketing, government affairs, trade shows, industry education and association finances.
The elections took place in August with representatives from member companies casting their votes electronically through an online ballot.
