RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Travel Lite RV Hires Buckmeier as Chief Operating Officer

Industry veteran Jamie Buckmeier has joined the Travel Lite RV team in Syracuse, Ind., as the new COO. 

Prior to joining Travel Lite RV, Buckmeier’s experience was in management and executive roles for numerous manufacturers such as Thor, Forest River and Jayco.  

Most recently, he served as director of product development and engineering for REV Recreation Group where his latest involvement was in a new startup RV division in China. 

“This company is skyrocketing with its innovation and commitment to putting dealers first,” Buckmeier said. “This is how the industry should be approached. What excited me was the atmosphere here, they have some of the most positive and energetic employees that I have ever met. It’s definitely an environment where creativity is expressed and not suppressed. I look forward to the future with this team and working hard to take the company to the next level of success.” 

 
Buckmeier began his career in the Industry in 1995 after completing his bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University. He currently resides in Goshen, Ind. with his wife of 16 years, Jessica, and his three children Brianna, Blaze and Blakely.
