The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.
Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Aliner has expanded it Ascape ultra-lightweight travel trailer lineup with the introduction of its new Grand Ascape and the Great Ascape that are on display at this week’s Elkhart RV Open House. According to a press release, the trailers weigh in at less than 2,000 pounds while offering a 12 percent increase in overall width.
“Aliner has been extremely pleased with the launch of the Ascape product portfolio. Our valued customer base asked us to keep innovating and add a larger version. As a customer-focused company, we listened and we are proud to bring to market the Grand and Great Ascape,” said Aliner President Brett Randall.
Both units feature a six-foot Thule awning and a flashy new exterior trim package. The Great Ascape also houses a Smev flush-mounted sink and stove, and a 100-watt solar panel. A Cool Cat heat pump is standard on the Great Ascape and comes with an option to upgrade to the Aldi radiant heat and water system. The trailer is also equipped with a self-storing swivel table added room in the living area.
