RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Wheeler Advertising Names Powell As GM, VP

Matt Powell is the new general manager and vice president of Wheeler Advertising.  

Powell was the marketing director for Bretz RV and Marine, a multi-location and Top 50 dealership group, with stores located throughout Montana and Idaho. Powell is also the founder and co-owner of Vision Metrix LLC, an RV dealership software company most notably known for their inventory management solution, Lot Metrix.

“I’m here to help Wheeler Advertising provide a completely integrated, flawless marketing solution for today’s RV dealers,” Powell said. “I’m excited to bring my experience and passion to the agency that created RV Retail Advertising nearly 30 years ago.”

Ron Wheeler, president and founder of Wheeler Advertising, said Powell’s experience will serve the agency well.

“With our national footprint of six locations and Matt’s proven track record, it provides our clients and agency team members with a clear path for the next 30 years,” Wheeler said.

Powell will relocate to the Arlington Texas office of Wheeler Advertising and take on the role full time on Oct. 15, 2018.
