RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

Bowlus Road Chief Debuts 26-Foot Travel Trailer

“Today is an exciting moment for the company and an important day in the storied 85-year history of [the company],” Bowlus Road Chief CEO Geneva Long says. “This new [trailer] with its extended design appeals to an even larger community of owners.”

The new Bowlus Road Chief is targeting customer segments such as families, full-timers or those seeking work/live floorplans while keeping the Bowlus Road Chief visual style.

The riveted aluminum travel trailer is powered by a 4 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery that enables users to have an off-grid experience for up to a week at a time while still being able to use items like A/C and a microwave oven. The Road Chief lineup also boasts a hotel-style bathroom with separate shower, yours-and-mine closets and dinette seating for four.
